Information reaches us through several channels:
Registration & Direct Submissions
When you fill out a registration form, submit personal information, interact with the website, or create projects.
Cookies & Authentication
When creating a new project, a cookie is saved in your browser containing only the project ID — no personal data. It expires after 1 day.
Visiting the login page sets a temporary cookie to check browser compatibility (discarded on close). Logging in sets cookies for login persistence (2 days by default, 2 weeks with "Remember Me") and screen preferences (1 year). Logging out removes all login cookies. Password reset emails include your IP address.
Project Replies
When users leave project replies, we collect the data shown in the reply form, along with the visitor's IP address and browser user agent string for spam detection. An anonymized hash of your email address may be sent to the Gravatar service to check whether you use it. Your profile picture is visible to Fixwp staff in the context of your reply.
Payment Processing
We use Stripe as our payment processor. We do not retain or have access to any of your payment information — it is transmitted directly to Stripe via a secure connection. Please review Stripe's Privacy Policy for details on how they handle payment data.
